Now More Than Ever: The History of Chicago (2016)

There’s only two ways out of this band; you leave or you die. Chicago Transit Authority was a family from the start. Terry Kath may have been one of the most underrated guitar players of all time, and Chicago were the first rock band to ever employ a horn section as writers and actual band members, not just as studio extras. Hendrix once said, “Their horns are like one set of lungs, and a guitar player that’s better than me”. Then in January of 1978, everything changed upon the accidental death of Terry, but the band pushed on… and they went disco.
