Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck (2015)
No band in the history of rock music has been more influential in birthing an entire genre as Nirvana was on the Grunge scene in the early 90s. With their fame came an ironic hatred for the genre itself. This doc goes through the life of Kurt Cobain from a young boy up until his suicide in 1994. There are plenty of stunning visuals through this movie as they animate his old notes, scribbles, and (mostly disturbing) drawings to help narrate this film. Some of the footage is hard to watch, but if this movie doesn’t leave you feeling something by the end, you may need to check your pulse.
