Beware of Mr. Baker (2012)

One of the best documentaries I’ve seen in years. The late Ginger Baker lived an eventful life, to say the least. From his early jazz background, he quickly rose to stardom as THE rock’n’roll drummer of Cream with Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce. It seems like every project he ever joined was short-lived but intense while it lasted, at least partially due to Ginger being self-destructive and not the easiest guy to work with. Because of his attraction to African rhythms at a young age, a trip to Africa later in his life inspired him further expanding his drumming career, and he also ended up becoming a hell of a polo player, too. Must watch.
